Saving Wildlife: Discovering NW Nature

In the first of its 3-episode series about Woodland Park Zoo’s conservation impacts in the Pacific Northwest, Seattle’s Fox 13 highlights our regional carnivore research and other projects under the umbrella of the Living Northwest program.
Matt Smith, the show’s host, does an excellent job of showcasing our work with wolverines and lynx, as well as with wildlife in Seattle’s urban environment. I have a few “cameos” in this episode, which features my husband, Robert Long, and other great colleagues. I’ll be talking with Matt about grizzly bear recovery in the Cascades for episode 2. Stay tuned!
