Video: Wolverines and Climate Change
Wolverines and Climate Change in Cascadia shows remarkable footage of wolverines in our region and sums up how climate change threatens their future. This 2-minute film was created by Dave Moskowitz and narrated by my husband, Robert Long. I helped edit the script.
As part of of our work with Woodland Park Zoo, Robert and I have been monitoring wolverines in the Cascades since 2013. It’s always exciting to document a wolverine on one of our remote cameras, but we also know that the recovering wolverine population relies on persistent spring snow for maternal dens—a resource whose footprint will shrink as our global climate warms.
