Featured in Best of 2019 Anthology
As a writer-conservationist, I’m honored to see my work included in the new Best of 2019 anthology published by Rewilding Earth, whose mission is “to develop and promote the ideas and strategies to advance continental-scale conservation in North America and beyond.”
Editors John Davis and Susan Morgan selected my feature-length article, “A Tale of Three Weasels,” for this inspirational collection, which also features writings from esteemed authors Robert Michael Pyle, Eileen Crist, Tim McNulty, and many others.
A Tale of Three Weasels was first published in the Summer 2019 issue of Earth Island Journal. The piece is a personal narrative describing efforts by Washington wildlife biologists to help recover regional populations of wolverines, fishers, and martens—all members of the weasel family (Mustelidae). Rewilding Earth republished my article online.
Please visit the Rewilding Earth website to purchase a copy of the Best of 2019 anthology and learn more about this organization’s efforts. You can also check out their library of podcasts, which includes interviews with authors, conservation biologists, and other impassioned people who promote rewilding.
